*Friends*........the Real Deal...according to me, of course...

Sooo.lowkey....I'm dealing with a situation in which I've recently been hurt by someone who I totally considered to be a friend. Totally. I must admit...I didn't expect it neither did I welcome, but...after I attempted (although I was no way in the wrong) to reconciliate and my words fell on deaf ears, I realized, maybe this person was Never really a friend anyway...maybe..no wait, take that maybe back..I'm certain now that they were just in my life for a season. Lesson learned and I'm SO good. Got it. Thanks..anywhoo..it all caused me to really look at this whole friends deal and determine how it really applies to my life...may not be the universal opinion, but its mine nonetheless..oh well..get over it.


"Friends."... A simple word isn't it? It's uttered everyday to almost every person imaginable. Who are your friends? I used to think that friends were the people that you could laugh and talk to. Now I know that friends aren't that, they're the people that touch your heart. You could spend hours with them doing nothing at all and it can be the best time of your life, just because it was with them. They're the people you can share your secrets with, cry with, laugh with, and just have fun with. They don't judge you or make you change. They accept you exactly as you are. They look at you and they see a great person, one they love spending time with.

You all share something in common and are tied together by memories, tears, laughs and smiles. You're tied together by love for the other.

Friendship is one of the greatest things in the world. I find my time with my friends, the best times of my life. My friends are my heart, my soul, my fun, my laughter, tears, love and my life.

•Mixed Emotions•

Ok...soooo...yeah..this one isn't as lighthearted as others, but hey..may as well cover the emotional spectrum, eh? Lol...

Let me explain. Mainly because I need to sound it out and figure out what it means outside of my head.
Life is fluid. I know this. I also know that things change, and change is good. Moving onward and upward. Out with the old, in with the new.

The crazy part is HOW MANY things are changing all at once. Evolving, more like. It's like, suddenly things that I considered as part of my abstract future are very immediate and real, and I'm wondering where all the time went...Yet, even still, there are totally a few things happening in which I have NO idea what the outcome will be..like NO idea....- guess that's where the excitement and thrill of life comes in, eh?...*sigh*....

Sooo..ever feel like you have 90,000 emotions swimming around in your head....and can't seem to pinpoint ONE?..yep..that's me right about now...totally....everything from excited beyond explanation to scared to sad to anxious to happy to...well you get the point..I'm such a wreck! Wait...no I'm not...- I think its just that I'm HUMAN. I want to love and enjoy this life I've been given to the fullest...doesn't sound that hard, right?.....*sigh again*....

Life happens so fast. You blink, and suddenly your little brother is getting married, your friends are having babies, and you're going to housewarming parties and neverending showers and celebratory milestone dinners. And if you stop, for just one second, to think about, it kind of makes you sad....So I've resolved to STOP thinking so much(thanks d:) and just FLOW with it all.....plain and simple!

Everything is new, and exciting (and scary!) and different, and that means that life will never be the same. It's on to the next chapter........because ready or not.....its coming.......

...Sending out special prayers and condolences to Ms. Jennifer Hudson and family in light of the recent tragedy which has struck her family on last evening...I had a chance to meet Jennifer not to long ago, and she genuinely has such a sweet spirit and vibe surrounding her. As many know, she was very close with her family and they kept her grounded, in spite of her stardom...Although this is truly a tragedy, God knows best..and All IS and WILL BE WELL...

ahhhhhhhhhh...For all you horror film lovers, such as myself...Today is such a special day:).SAW V is now out in theaters....hip hip hooray. Now granted, I am SUCH the wimp when it comes to films such as this..but I love them...gives me a thrill....don't know why, but it does...anywhoo..point is...I got a chance to see a special screening of this one kids..and it's a winner...yep..go see it.
Have a night out with friends, your beau or gal,..grab some dinner, and prepare to be thoroughly entertained..lol..with a few screams in the mix of course.

I had the opportunity to first experience this swanky lounge/cafe a few months ago for an All-White party given by Dave Brown(THE hottest promoter in LA..Hey Dave:) The spot is banging ya'll..real talk..very upscale...very chic..very urban..and VERY ME:)...My type of place..definitely. The food is GREAT...the kitchen serves this AMAZING carbolicious pasta..but let's keep it real..who eats carbs after dark in Hollywood?..yeah right. LOL..anywhoo..that's besides the point..the place is great...plain and simple. Oh, one more thing, You'll definitely spot celebrities at Les Deux...inclusive of myself:) *That's my plug, in case you missed it*

Alright I think I'm done...Table service is 2 bottle minimum..starting at $500/bottle..and Valet is $20...but the good times are priceless:) *totally a Hallmark card, right?..lol*

Ok, sooooo.....this one is a bit different..but hey, who cares. Just wanted to do my part as a human being on the planet..by encouraging you all to jump on the bandwagon with regard to our environment....I'm in the process(have been for a few months now) of totally becoming GREEN (Eco-Friendly)...It's been ROUGH..and I have a LONG WAY TO GO...lol..but I'm getting there..by this, I mean..using mainly natural products..everything from body care to bedding to paper to makeup(haven't quite gotten there yet)..to..well, the list is ENDLESS..and I may never quite get there...but hey, I'm trying..work with me here people...now..the food?..aahh..that's going to take a minute (just being honest)..

But real talk..Collectively, we can reward environmentally responsible practices, discourage waste, help close the recycling loop and reduce the amount of toxic materials entering our ecosystems.....

sooooo..now to the fashion part:)..One way we can ALL participate and it doesn't take much, is to carry our own reusable bags for shopping, etc...and what better way to do this than with an original Anya Hindmarch "I'm Not a Plastic Bag". I have had one for about a year now..right around when the hype first hit the streets...lol..now granted, initially, I totally just loved the bag..but more and more realized that this SO efficient and does it's own little part with helping the environment..Fashionable AND Green:)..doesn't get much better than that folks!

ok..enough of my public service announcement, lol..point is...try, if nothing more, to do your part with helping the enviroment..."One person can't change the world..but all of us putting forth an effort can make a strong impact." ( I just made that quote up..is it corny?..oh well..get over it)

BET HIP HOP AWARDS 2008

Alright Kids...I'm in NO way a reporter, analyst, gossip columnist, etc..BUT I do stay abreast of certain things from time to time...especially things which I have direct involvement:)..

That being said...The BET HIP HOP AWARDS taping was this past Saturday, and if I must say so myself.....it TOTALLY should have been called the Lil Wayne Awards because the night was ALL about him.

I am TOTALLY..(I say totally a lot, just realized that)....but I am TOTALLY a fan of Lil Wayne..not a MAJOR fan of rap..but I def dig the Waynester..especially the last album..yepppppperrrrssss......

Anywhoo...This year was a bit different for me, because I actually worked on the staff of the Awards:) It was a GREAT experience..especially to be involved with my passion, MUSIC, and to have a VOICE, ya know?..

so yep..that's my spill..oh yeah, the Ladies stole the show Sat. night with an old-school tribute to female rappers, featuring MC Lyte, Yo-Yo, the Lady of Rage, (remember her?!?) and Salt-N-Pepa, who dedicated their 1993 classic “Whatta Man” to presidential hopeful Barack Obama (Barack the Vote People. 11.04.08)

Ok...guess that's about it... The show airs tomorrow evening, Oct. 23. Check your local listings and tune in:)

Anywhoo..just wanted to briefly, and I do mean briefly, let you in on Who I Am...What I do..yada yada yada......

Welp, I'm a LOT of things, inclusive of Christian, daughter, sister, friend, lover... and I do a LOT of things...inclusive of singing, writing, shopping, acting, traveling, reading, graduate student..etc etc....
I love life and have every intention on living it to the fullest:) Plain and Simple.

I could go on for ages and really divulge on every little tidbit about me..but its pretty much all summed up in the above explanation. For the MOST part, I'm pretty transparent, so If you have questions, feel free to ask...but let's not turn this into a game of 21 questions, k?..NOT interested..Thanks! ;).

When I stop to think about just where I am right now in my life, I realize there are no such things as mistakes and wasted moments. Each high and low has made me who I am now. Changing anything that ever happened to me in the past, if it were at all possible, would cheapen my testimony, limiting the wider audience who are witnessing it, as I travel this great adventure...That being said...I do solemnly promise to live my life to the very fullest..with NO Regrets:)

Soooooooooo..on this lovely Sunday morning..I've decided to share a little piece of MY heaven on earth with you guys. This place has totally been hiding from me since I moved here to Los Angeles (which has only been three months..lol)..BUT I have completely fell in love with this place...It's called THE GROVE:)..and it's like a slice of comfort, shopping, movies, restaurants..in a quaint community located not too far from Hollywood..(crazy right?) It's SO peaceful and serene..which is SUCH a way to shop...clear head..nice music..water fountain flowing....ahhh...I love it kids..Also a great place for brunch with your girlfriends at the famed Cheesecake Factory and of course a little shopping afterwards at such stores as Abercrombie & Fitch, Barnes & Noble, Crate & Barrel, Kiehl's, L'Occitane, La Piazza, Lucky Brand, Michael Kors (yyeeesssss), Nordstrom, Victoria's Secret, and many more..Anywhoo..the stores are great..but it's really NOT the stores that make this place..it's totally the setting and the atmosphere that I simply LOVE. Hence, this place being one of my favorites here in Los Angeles:)...Shhhh...don't tell everybody..just a few people..lol...I don't want too many people coming..interrupting my peaceful afternoons..lol...

Ok...so..as many of you know..well take that make..many may NOT know..lol..anywhoo..my 25th birthday is soon approaching:)...yes, the big 25..a milestone in life..WooHoo..*uh-oh..I totally have a friend who says that all the time, and I must admit..he's worn off on me..geesh*...Nevertheless..back to me...I plan to celebrate in a MAJOR way this year...planning is already underway..and I am proud to announce that I have officially finalized (as of yesterday..lol) the guest headquarters for this event. yeppers:) The Sofitel in Los Angeles. ahhh...what an amazing place! The ambiance is simply breathtaking and peaceful, yet in the very epicenter of Hollywood...This will definitely be the spot guys and gals...ok..one thing checked of my to-do list..now on to the other eighty thousand tasks..:/ *sigh*...lol
