•My Brain Spins on Wednesdays•

Alright...so......this one is slightly different from the others whereas this post is the first in a series I have decided to call 'My Brain Spins on Wednesdays' (real creative, eh?..*and the crowd goes wild..wooooohooooo!!!..ok fine, don't go wild. Weirdos.) Every Wednesday (at least that's my intention right now) I will post a blog composed of nothing but my pure, uninhibited, brutally honest thoughts....some will be funny, some serious, some straight-up honest, MOST will be random...but ALL of them will be Real. Sooooo.....let me just give the disclaimer once more that these thoughts are solely mine. Don't get all worked up if you're not feeling it. It's a blog people. Spare me.

Ok sooo guess there's no other way to start than just to dig right in, eh?...ok....here we go:)

- I have had trouble on focusing on pretty much ANYTHING today........I'm totally in such a state of elation, its not even funny. I mean, you'd think that I was the one elected last evening. Seriously.

- I am so firm and content in knowing that a Change is surely here.

- Ever get tired of eating?.....Get tired of figuring out what you're going to eat?.....UUGGHHH, I swear I am totally there right now. Day after day, I go through the same process over and over again. I go to Trader Joe's and stand there in the aisles looking at a variety of natural foods....most of which I do like, spend 200 dollars, and I still feel unsatisfied. I go to a regular store and stand there in the aisles looking at a variety of not so natural foods lol, spend even more money, and still feel unsatisfied. I pretty much despise 95 percent of fast food chains..no, 98 percent...soooo...what's a girl to do?....I swear, if I eat one more granola bar and deli sandwich, I'm going to turn into one.

- I hate when people lie to me. I do. I mean...it is ALL the way unnecessary!...Truth will get you way further. Promise.

- Sometimes, people are so extra. Women, in particular. It used to really baffle me as to why. But now, it's just amusing. I mean, on some comedy type vibe. Sad thing is, I don't think they even realize they are that way...maybe they do, and just think it's cute. Either way...ma'am, please have a seat. Take an entire bench if needed.

- I think I have a few addictions. Some of them are totally lighthearted, but others.....are not so good addictions to have:/......hurts to admit it, but it's true.

- I watched a Tupac vid today...one like chronicling his life and death, etc.....even got a bit misty-eyed. ( I know....I know)....

- So......kind of feel like I'm on the verge of some life-changing decisions, both in the personal and professional aspect. Scarrryyyyyyy stuff. Oh well..such is life.

- I wonder if I made the right decision. I wonder that a lot actually. Too late now though, eh?....or is it ever really too late? Maybe not.

- I have been ROCKIN' Kelly Price lately..her first few albums.. I mean, like the chick just came out...funny stuff.

- Alright, I'm done. I think. Yep I am.

Wow......witnessing the election of our nation's First African-American President, Barack Obama....pretty surreal. It's been a long journey to get to this point, but we are finally here...CHANGE is here......cliche? Yep. True? YES. Sooooo......tonight, as we stand on the verge of a new day, in lieu of boring you all with jargon and political jibberish (yep, I'm a junkie, and could go on for days..literally)....I'll simply say...CONGRATULATIONS Mr. President and First Family. I, along with America, look forward to a NEW Day and a BETTER America:)

God is SO Amazing.

Somedays, I swear I feel like Superwoman.....minus the uncomfortable vest, of course.......I had a revelation today...and that is,.......I do way too much....lol...not really in a negative light, just in general. I mean.....I'm balancing graduate school, being an entrepreneur, acting, singing, music, and more music, my own column/magazine, fashion line......NOT TO MENTION....transitioning into my new life here in Los Angeles........which is a story in itself. Lol.....



So.....meshing my professional, social, personal, spiritual life(which always comes first) all together is a handful. But...this is totally the prime of my life, and I can't nor won't let it pass me by...and truth of the matter is, if I don't, someone else WILL...real talk. I'm determined to be happy, in ALL areas;)...So....I must go on, continue grinding with a smile on my face...Oh well...gotta do it...what other choice do I have?....exactly.

Ok so....I'm in Hollywood this afternoon..Melrose Avenue to be exact..partially conducting business..partially shopping..lol..anywhoo..- I digress - Its been a long morning without breakfast, so I pickup a deli sandiwch and water for lunch....yet..as I begin to eat it...I realize maybe I'm not hungry at all..so I decide against lunch. Now I'm stuck with this stupid sandwich that I totally don't want to carry around with me so I figure I'll toss it...yet, as I'm walking out, I see a homeless man..begging for food...and, well let me be completely honest, homeless persons are in abundance here in Los Angeles..and I try to balance the very thin line of genuinely believing someone asking for something/and thinking its a con...

Well today..I definitely felt like its totally not going to hurt me to give this guy my sandwich because I'm not going to eat it anyway.......so.....and I'm still trippin even as I type this..lol..I walk up to him ever so sweetly and say, "Excuse me sir, you are more than welcome to the other half of my sandwich...it hasn't been touched..."...his response? ..and I am so not lying..lol.."Oh thank you, but no thanks....I'm a vegetarian."....seriously, that was his answer.....I mean...WHAT do you say to that?!?!?! I couldn't help but laugh...and I proceed to say, "Ok, hun....I'll keep that in mind...." Lol.....classic...I mean I'm like wow, what is this world coming to?............funny stuff....not his circumstance of course, but just the principle of the situation.....

*sigh*.........another day, another adventure....lol...Gotta love L.A.
